Safety On The Highway

If we only had two words to describe what to do on the highway, they would be...Slow Down! Many highway incidents could be avoided by just slowing down and being alert. Stopping distance for a vehicle traveling at 80 mph is far greater than a vehicle traveling at 60 mph. Tractor-Trailers take an even greater distance to stop. Observe posted speed limits, be alert and eliminate any distractions, and when you see Emergency Responders and Highway Workers, please Slow Down and if possible Move Over to another lane. Use extra caution this holiday weekend and make an effort to drive safely. It is also the time of year when motorcycles will be on the highways and roadways. Please watch out for them and provide whatever courtesy you can for their safety. Instead of having road rage, we need to be watching out for one another, so we can all come home safe.
