On the evening of Friday, March 30th at approximately 7:00pm, The East Whitleand Fire Company was dispatched for the report of a structure fire located at 225 Josephs Way. First arriving units encountered heavy smoke coming from the address. The first arriving engine crew immediately stretched a hoseline into the structure and located a fire in the basement and the first floor. The fire was quickly extinguished, preventing further damage of the structure. There was nobody home at the time of the call. Crews remained on the scene until approximately 9:00pm.

Also at the scene was the East Whiteland EMS and Fire Police units. Assisting companies were the Malvern, Paoli, Berwyn, West Whiteland, Goodwill and Lionville Fire Companies. Apparatus from the Goshen and Kimberton Fire Companies stood by at the East Whiteland Firehouse during the fire
