The East Whiteland Township Police Department was recognized Wednesday evening at the monthly township meeting for their exceptional work, with a special tribute to Sergeant Steve Stefanski. East Whiteland Police Chief Gene Dooley then announced that Lieutenant Chris Yeager was being promoted to Deputy Chief. The ceremony was officiated by Chester County District Judge, the Honorable John Bailey. Attending were police officers from East Whiteland Township, Malvern Borough, Willistown Township, Pennsylvania State Police, as well as various law enforcement officials from Chester County and members of the East Whiteland Fire Company. Congressman Ryan Costello and Senator Andy Dinniman both congratulated the department and the members recognized during the ceremony. We are very proud of the East Whiteland Township Police Department for their accomplishments and fine work in our community.
