The East Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched Sunday evening to a one vehicle traffic accident on Valley Hill Road in Charlestown Township. The vehicle struck a utility pole knocking live power lines across Valley Hill Road. This is the part of Valley Hill Road that borders West Whiteland Township. East Whiteland Tactical Fire Police remained on the scene closing the road while Pennsylvania State Police were on the scene investigating. PECO service reported the pole would have to be replaced. A road closure remains in effect until the pole is replaced.
