Members of the East Whiteland Fire Company traveled to Exton Park on Swedesford Road in West Whiteland Township Saturday afternoon to participate in the Exton Park/Chester Valley Trail celebration, hosted by the County of Chester and West Whiteland Township. Taking part in the event were East Whiteland Engine 5-1, Ambulance 5-1, Squad 5 with ATV 5 and trailer. The ATV is an All-Terrain-Vehicle, capable of traveling off-road and equipped for patient rescue, and a trailer for additional personnel or firefighting with a water tank and forestry pump. The unit is ideal for difficult or limited access, such as the Chester Valley Trail. ATV 5 made it's debut during the Blizzard of 2016 and is a beneficial unit of the company. ATV 5 was provided by a grant from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
