A fire broke out at about 2 am during the overnight hours of Tuesday morning and a Tanker Task Force was dispatched for a raging residential fire on Dogwood Hill Lane in Chadds Ford, Delaware County, Pa. East Whiteland Fire Company Engine 5-5 joined the many tankers responding to the rural area with no water hydrants. Tankers filled up at hydrant locations then drove to the fire scene unloading water in portable pools which was then pumped to the fire. It was a long night for those on the assignment. East Whiteland Fire Company Career Captain Mike Risell, Lieutenant John DeMarco, and Engineer Alex Petropoulos were on the crew from our station.
