Outbuilding Fire in General Warren Village

At 10:56 hrs (10:56 am) Station 5 along with Stations 2 (Berwyn) 3 (Paoli) and 4 (Malvern) were dispatched for an Outbuilding Fire reported as a Shed in the unit block of Old Lancaster Road in East Whiteland Township.

Assistant 4 and 4-20 arrived and advised incoming fire apparatus of a working shed fire with with fire spreading to the woods.

Engine 5-2 arrived on location, laid a supply line in, and took the driveway. Two attack hoselines were deployed to fight the fire. Firefighters encoutnered a fully involved shed along with 1/4 to 1/2 acre of woods on fire. Captain 5C (Nafziger) established "Old Lancaster Command" while Assistant 4 (K.Vaughn) was assigned operations.

Engine 2-1 shortly thereafter later and split their crew to assist with fire suppression of both the shed and the woods. Engine 3-5 arrived on location and supplied water to Engine 5-2 after reports of a hydrant malfunction. The Malvern units arrived along with 3-5 and assisted with fire suppression efforts.

Units operated on location until being cleared by Captain 5C.
