The New Engine 5-1 Placed Into Service

We are proud to announce the placing into service of the new Engine 5-1! Engine 5-1 is a 2014 Marion Custom attack pumper on a Spartan Metro Star chassis with a 10" raised roof and seating for 6 firefighters. The body is an all aluminum body with full depth compartments. Engine 5-1 carries 750 gallons of water and has a 2000 gallon-per-minute pump.

Equipment:
2- 1 3/4" cross lays
1- 2 1/2" cross lay
1- 300' preconnected 1 3/4" attack line on rear
1- 300' preconnected 2 1/2" attack line on rear
1500' 5" supply line
800' 3" supply line
28' and 14' ladders
10 kw generator with 200' cord reel
Full compliment of hand tools
Hurst rescue equipment
Misc. hHazmat equipment

Engine 5-1 was purchased from Allen Cleaver from Continental fire apparatus.
Gold Leaf and letter was completed by Danz lettering.

Engine 5-1 was placed in service on Friday, June 27th, 2014 at 21:00hrs (9 pm) by Chester County Fireboard dispatcher 481.
